Women who've had a challenging dynamic with their mother are often not aware of the unconscious beliefs that limit their capacity to 'move on' and be fully themselves
Beliefs such as “I’m not worthy of love", "I don't need anybody”, “I’ll be rejected if I show all of myself”, or “I’m not enough” can get very sticky, no matter how many times you’ve 'done the work’.

Creative idea/projects are parked because you think others have already done (and better)

have installed themselves as stops and blocks in your inner world,
they turn into limiting beliefs

It's harder for women to find the freedom or the support to become untethered from the mother wound's limiting beliefs within the collective beliefs that "all mothers love their daughters", that "you should learn to accept and forget" because surely "mothers do their best".
​
Even when you're aware of some of the limiting beliefs that are passed down to you through your relationship with your mother or other significant female figures in your life the way these beliefs settle in your psyche feels frustrating and mysterious.

In this training, I’ll touch on two approaches that send misleading and sometimes harmful messages about limiting beliefs and healing the mother wound:

1. IT'S IN YOUR MINDSET
Whether it's through forced acceptance, repeating affirmations or adopting positive thinking, you can't just change your mindset to compensate on missing essential childhood experiences which led to cultivating limiting beliefs.
The only one way to have a different mindset is by having guided and nourishing experiences that rewrite on a neurological level narratives of unmet childhood needs and the beliefs attached to them.

2. "FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAYS"
There's a lot of encouragement to push through in order to "move on" from a painful past while ignoring the fact that beliefs are an entirely different dimension than behaviours. Changing beliefs entails something else than "doing it differently".

My work is shaped by 20 years of intensive meditation and Buddhist psychology training with world-renowned teachers, Jungian dreamwork, Hakomi psychotherapy, Polyvagal theory, trauma-informed practices, different therapy training such as Chi Nei Tsang and breath-work, but also by the journey of healing my own mother wound of growing up with a mentally ill mother.
